The sportiest version of Candino
This sport dates back to the end of the 18th century, in some remote village in France. The locals used to hit a ball with the palm of their hand. Back then, they called it Jeu de paume. they called it Jeu de paume. Later, they began to play on natural grass courts and invented devices called racquets. The sport won fans and spread throughout English-speaking countries, especially among the upper classes. It was not until 1926 that, thanks to the creation of the first Tour, the sport became professional. Today, tennis has become universal and is played in almost every country in the world. Candino was partner and Official Timekeeper of prestigious tournaments such as the <<Davidoff Swiss Indoors de Basilea>> and <<Paribas Master de París-Bercy>> in Paris. The brand, in partnership with Swiss Tennis, committed itself to the sport by sponsoring the Official Swiss Tennis, being Official Swiss Tennis Watch and Sponsor of the Candino Champions Trophy. More than 700 clubs participated in the Candino Champions Trophy. This was the stepping stone to play in the regional Masters tournaments, the prelude to the Candino Swiss Watch Trophy Master. The champion of this exclusive tournament became the best Swiss tennis player.
